Terms & Conditions applicable to participants on the Survey
Updated Effective Date: January 29, 2024
We are calling the community to share how you use Netdata in your org, or out in the wild and how has it helped you. DevOps, IT admins, monitoring experts and trouble-ninjas, we ask that you take the Netdata Use Case Survey aimed at collecting insights and sharing updated use cases with the rest of the community.
Users who complete the Netdata Use Case Survey will be awarded with Netdata Swag valued at $60 (“Instant Survey Honorarium”).
Additionally, each complete response will equal to one (1) entry to a dedicated raffle for one of the 8 prizes, including the new Apple MacBook Pro M3, 1 x Apple Watch Ultra, 1 x Sony PlayStation 5 and 5 x Apple Airpods! (see below the full terms and conditions for the “Netdata 2023 Use Case Giveaway”).
Users can increase their chances of winning 3x, sharing the love and performing additional steps such as completing testimonials at one or more software review websites/portals.
How is it going to work?
- Phase 1 Use Case Survey
- Answer the questionnaire of the “Netdata 2023 Use Case Survey”
- Eligible responses will be awarded with
- Netdata Swag valued at $60 (“Instant Survey Honorarium”).
- One (1) entry to the “Netdata 2023 Use Case Giveaway”
- Receivers of the Instant Survey Honorarium will be contacted via email
- Phase 2 - Use Case Giveaway
- Survey Participants with Eligible Responses will automatically be given one (1) entry to participate in the 2023 Use Case Giveaway.
- During the Giveaway Period, users can increase their chances of winning by collecting additional entries by performing additional steps
- Users can obtain one (1) additional entry to the Giveaway by providing confirmation of submitting a review of Netdata software (“Testimonial”) at one of the shortlisted software review websites “Review Portals”
- To be granted an additional entry to the Giveaway, the Testimonial needs to be at any of the following Review Portals: Gartner Peer Insights, Capterra, G2, SourceForge, or AlternativeTo.
- Since reviews on the above portals are not instantly uploaded on the web, we will require you to submit proof of submitting the Testimonial (“Qualified Testimonial”). Proof of Testimonial submissions should be sent to [email protected]. Upon receipt and validation of your confirmation you will be awarded the extra entry(ies) for the Giveaway Raffle.
- The selection of winners will take place up to 60 days after the closing of the Use Case Survey and the necessary steps from Netdata for the purposes of collecting, cleaning, and analyzing the research data.
Netdata 2023 Use Case Survey - Terms and Conditions
General
- NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER. YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING DO NOT INCREASE WITH A PURCHASE.
- The Netdata Use Case Survey starts at 12:00:01 a.m. ET on November 16th, 2023 and is set to end on 11:59:59 p.m. ET on March the 31th, 2024 (“Netdata Use Case Survey Submission Period”). Final dates are liable to change without notice.
How to enter the 2023 Use Case Survey
- To be eligible for the Netdata Use Case Survey Program , all entries must be received within the Netdata Use Case Survey Submission Period
- You must be an active user of Netdata Agent or Netdata Cloud to qualify as an eligible responding participant (“Survey Participant”)
- You must provide complete, full and/ or detailed responses to the survey shared with you, including your email address and full name details for your responses to qualify as eligible (“Eligible Responses”).
- Each “Entrant” may respond to the Netdata 2023 Use Case Survey only one (1) time during the Netdata Use Case Survey Submission Period.
- Multiple Entrants are not permitted to share the same email address and/or full name.
- Any attempt by any Survey Participant to respond multiple times by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations, logins, and/or any other methods with the purpose to obtain more than one (1) entry at the Netdata Use Case Giveaway will void that Survey Participant’s eligibility to claim the Instant Survey Honorarium and/or may be disqualified from entering the Netdata Use Case Giveaway
- Employees or family members of employees of Netdata or any person directly or indirectly involved in the organization, are not eligible for the Instant Survey Honorarium.
- By participating in the Netdata 2023 Use Case Survey, the participant releases Netdata from any liability.
Survey Participation Reward
The first 200 Eligible Responses from Survey Participants (“Awardees”) will be rewarded with:
- One (1) Netdata Swag Pack valued at $60 (“Instant Survey Honorarium”).
- One (1) entry to the Netdata 2023 Use Case Giveaway (more details and terms below)
The Netdata Swag Pack may include one or more of the below items (subject to availability):

- Pen
- Notebook
Survey Participants that took the survey after the first 200 Eligible Responses, will not receive the Instant Survey Honorarium Prize, but all Eligible Responses will receive an entry for the Prize Raffle, and will have a chance to win more entries for the Prize Raffle. Instant Survey Honorarium Prize winners may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability release (and, where permitted, a publicity release) within the 5 working days. Proof such as screenshots or further verification information may be required to ensure that the information provided in the survey is accurate and truthful.
How are the Survey Participant winners informed?
The winners will be informed through email after the necessarily eligibility checks have been completed, and up to 60 days after their completion of the 2023 Use Case Survey
We also will update the winner’s page once the winners are finalized.
Other Terms
- Winners will be verified for details and whether they have followed all the steps mentioned here.
- Supposing the winner does not respond for any reason for three (3) days after contact, then a new winner may be chosen, or the honorarium may not be awarded at all.
- We can ship to most countries in the regions including America, Europe, Canada, and Australia. If you live in another country/ or region, and depending on where you live, we can arrange free shipping but Awardees may need to assume the cost of any duties or import fees.
- In a worst case scenario, if we are unable to ship the Netdata swag then we will offer an alternative gift of equal or similar value to the product offered in the survey program.
Netdata 2023 Use Case Giveaway - Terms & Conditions
General

- The Netdata 2023 Use Case Giveaway starts at 12:00:01 a.m. ET on November 16th, 2023 (the same time as the 2023 Use Case Survey ) and is set to end by 11:59:59 p.m. ET on April 15th, 2024 (“Netdata 2023 Use Case Giveaway Period”). Final dates are dependent on the 2023 Use Case Survey period and may change without notice,
How to enter the 2023 Use Case Giveaway
- To be eligible for the Netdata Use Case Giveaway, all entries must be received within the Netdata 2023 Use Case Giveaway Period
- You must be an active user of Netdata to qualify as an eligible participant (“Entrant”) to the Use Case Giveaway.
- To gain an entry to the Giveaway, you must either have an “eligible response” to the 2023 Use Case Survey, or have submitted a verified testimonial (“Qualified Testimonial”) at the list of accepted software review websites (“Review Portals”).
- Users seeking to gain an additional entry, must provide proof of submitting their software review/ testimonial by forwarding or sending us screenshot of the ‘confirmation email’ received by the respective review portal to [email protected]. Netdata reserves the right to review proof of submission and verify the user review for its accuracy, validity and truthfulness.
- Multiple Entrants are not permitted to share the same email address and/or full name. Users can enter the 2023 Use Case Giveaway with up to a maximum of four (4) entries during the Netdata Use Case Giveaway Period.
- Any attempt by any Entrant to obtain more than the allowed number of entries, using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations, logins, and/or any other methods will void that entrant’s entries and that entrant may be disqualified from this and/or future raffles/ prizes.
- Employees or family members of employees of Netdata or any person directly or indirectly involved in the organization, are not eligible for the Giveaway Prizes
- By participating in the Netdata 2023 Use Case Survey, the participant releases Netdata from any liability.
Netdata 2023 Use Case Giveaway Winners
- Winners will be determined in a random drawing on or about April 15th, 2024 from among all eligible entries.
- For the avoidance of doubt, 16 of all the participants will be randomly selected by Netdata, 60 days after the research project is completed on the Netdata side for the purposes described above. 8 of the Participants will receive the Prizes (the “Raffle Prize Winners”), and 8 will be runner-ups.
- Netdata will only contact the Giveaway Winners. Potential winners will be notified by mail with the email address provided and will be given instruction on how to claim their prize
- If a winning participant cannot be contacted via email, the first runner-up will be selected and contacted instead.
- If a Winner does not reply to us within 3 working days, another runner-up will be contacted instead. Winners that respond back more than 3 working days after receiving their winner’s email, will not be able to claim their Prize.
- At least 60 days from the date of the acceptance of the Prize by the Winner should be allowed for the delivery of the Prize.
- Winners subsequently may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability release (and, where permitted, a publicity release) within the same notice period of the 3 working days.
- By participating in the Use Case Giveaway, the participants recognize that Netdata may publish his or her full name, in the event he or she wins, for the sake of transparency and/or audit review.
- If the Winner does not wish to share his or her name and image for publicity purposes, he or she has the right to opt-out and forfeit his or her Use Case Giveaway Prize.
- Failure to comply with any requirements on a timely basis may result in disqualification and award of prize to an alternate winner/runner-up.
- Netdata reserves the right to substitute a prize for one of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.
Netdata 2023 Use Case Giveaway Winners
- A total of 6 prizes, including:
- One (1) Apple MacBook Pro M3, valued up to 2499 USD
- One (1) Apple Watch Ultra valued up to 900 USD
- One (1) gaming consoles Sony Playstation 5 valued up to 539 USD
- Five (5) Apple Airpods valued up to 179 USD
- Winner is solely responsible for the payment of all federal, state and local taxes and all other expenses or costs relating to the prize not expressly set forth above.
- The prize is non-transferable and must be accepted as offered.
- If the Winners live in countries where they cannot receive or accept their Prize, they will be able to choose an Amazon (US/UK/DE/FR etc.) gift card or Tango Card gift card of the same value in its place.
Other Terms
- Any misuse or abuse, or suspected fraudulent activity related to the Netdata 2023 Use Case Survey, or the Netdata 2023 Use Case Giveaway might result in the withdrawal or denial of any or all Prizes related to the two programs.
- The Netdata 2023 Use Case Survey and Netdata 2023 Use Case Giveaway are subject to termination at any time at our sole discretion without notice, either in whole or in part, or to modify it in its course.
- Survey Participants and Entrants shall indemnify Netdata in case of any third-party claims of any kind whatsoever resulting from any unlawful actions that the participant has made.
- By participating in the Netdata 2023 Use Case Survey and Netdata 2023 Use Case Giveaway, the entrants grant his or her consent to store, process, and use the personal information provided, for Netdata’s internal purposes. We will not transfer the participant’s information to any third party except for the purpose of notifying the winner and delivering/ sending a Prize.
- Netdata reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions, pertaining to the end and close dates of both the Netdata 2023 Use Case Survey and Netdata 2023 Use Case Giveaway, as well as the number of days and weeks when the awards, honorariums, or prize draws will be held.
- Netdata and its programs: the Netdata 2023 Use Case Survey or the Netdata 2023 Giveaway are not affiliated with any of the brands and logos mentioned, including Apple, Amazon, Sony etc.
